Holistic Health Coaching

I am here to be your advocate. Together we will take a deep dive into whole person health to develop more intuitive, healthy habits that will support you on your journey to becoming the best version of yourself. We will consider not only physical wellbeing, but also mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. Because gut health is intrinsically linked to all aspects of our health we will focus on repairing and rebalancing gut flora.

Sessions are virtual and cater to your time zone. I also offer in-person meetings and grocery shopping sessions for my NYC clients.

FAQs

  • Health is not a one-size-fits-all approach. In fact, it’s incredibly individual! A Holistic Health Coach considers the whole person, looking at how all areas of life are connected. With the guidance of a Health Coach, you will not only consider the food on your plate, but all other aspects of life that fuel you: career, movement, relationships, and mindset.

Ultimately, a Heath Coach is here to help you make progress on your journey by offering you a safe space to ask questions, deconstruct your health habits, provide accountability, and guide you towards ongoing support. Coaches want to see you thriving as they bring you closer to your goals!

  • If you are looking for prescribed medical attention, calorie counting, or meal planning, a Holistic Health Coach may not be the right fit. It is recommended instead to see a dietician or clinical nutritionist, as these are often beyond a Health Coaches scope of practice.

  • Your gut is your second brain. In both figurative and quite literal terms. With thousands of nerve endings along the digestive tract and constant chemical reactions between the brain and the digestive system, the gut brain axis is hard to ignore. If you’re experiencing pain in your gut, it’s likely your brain health is suffering as a result. The same can be said in reverse.

The digestive system and the immune system maintain a similarly unique relationship. In fact, 70% of your immune cells reside in your gut. The lining of your digestive system houses these immune cells and are the body’s first line of defense. These cells are tasked with absorbing nutrients and filtering toxins from entering the bloodstream.

Without a healthy immune system and a balanced gut microbiome it becomes harder for the body to protect itself from constant environmental stressors, which can lead to inflammation and chronic disease. If we spend time taking care of our gut, it will take care of us in return!
